She followed her love of yoga into mindfulness and meditation studies, opening Hobson’s Bay Yoga, then later returning to university to become a psychologist.
Her thesis on love and emotional intelligence won the Relationships Thesis Award from The Australian Psychological Society. Debra’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals in Australia and the US including Spirituality in Clinical Practice and The International Journal of Yoga Therapy. Her self-help memoir Lovelands was published in 2017 and is available worldwide.
